What’s better than telling your friends about Groupon? Giving them some Groupon Bucks to spend!

Buy a Groupon Gift Card for any dollar amount and give it to a friend, your mom, your squeeze, whomever you want to give the gift of Groupon.

A Groupon Gift Card can be sent in an email, or you can print it out to hand-deliver or pop into a Birthday Card.

The recipient can either use the value at checkout when buying a Groupon, or add it to their account to use later on. Each card has a unique redemption code, and it’s as easy as entering that code to redeem the value.

Want to know if a Gift you’ve given has been claimed by the recipient yet? All of the gifts you’ve bought are shown on the ‘Gifts’ tab on your account page, where you can see if they’ve been redeemed.

You can re-send or re-print any gift card that hasn’t yet been redeemed, just in case you got the address wrong the first time, or change your mind and decide to deliver it in person.

Once the value has been redeemed, it’s used up and can’t be redeemed again.

A fellow Groupon employee, Joe Harrow, cleverly pointed out that you could print a bunch of copies of the same Groupon Gift Card, hide them around the office and let the first person to find and redeem one get the prize.
